Cheap jersey Best Songs

Thirty-four years ago today, August 16, Elvis Presley was wholesale sport caps ulefound dead on the floor of his bathroom.  Hugely influential and popular, Presley changed the face of popular music and pop culture.  To this day, Elvis is one of the biggest selling artists in music history and his home in Memphis is a regular stop for tourists from around the world.  I know we can debate that Presley benefited from the music of other artists that were shamefully under-recognized at the time (Chuck Berry, Little Richard, even Carl Perkins) but he is simply an icon, and one of the most cheap nfl jersey influential people of the 20th century.  To mark the anniversary of his sudden death, here are my favorite Elvis Presley songs.  I know he didn’t write many of them, and my list steers clear of most of his massive early hits, but these are the Elvis songs that do it for me.  Here they are.

1 – Suspicious Minds – This 1970’s live staple was Presley in his absolute prime, just before he hit the wall.  The waltz-time bridge is heart breaking, and gives way to wholesale nhl jersey the anger of the outro chorus.

2 – American Trilogy – Mickey Newbury gets a ton of credit for arranging this masterpiece and writing its final act, but The King’s version is unreal, especially live.  The power of the crescendo at the end before Battle Hymn kicks in is chill-inducing.

3 – In the Ghetto – A number one hit in 1969, In the Ghetto marked the beginning of Presley’s prime with a beautiful vocal.  No one sang a Baltimore Ravens #20 Ed Reed jersey sad song quite like Elvis.  Mac Davis’ take on the vicious cycle of poverty is powerful and spot on.

4 – Always on My Mind – I know this was more of a live cover than a true Elvis song, but like so many others, Elvis made it his song.  And, as always, Elvis delivers it like it is straight autobiography.

5 – Are You Lonesome Tonight – So it’s a little sappier than the heavies on the list so far, but Elvis sang this one brilliantly and also famously had fun with it live later in his career.  A favorite of his rabid fans and his manager.

6 – Can’t Help Falling In Love – This discount nba jersey one has a genius lyric.  Forget that “rivers flowing to the” sea is the most clichéd line in the history of songwriting.  Elvis nailed this one every time out.

7 – Heartbreak Hotel – I’d put this in the top ten for no other than the fact that it’s the Presley song Spinal Tap attempt to harmonize with on their visit to Elvis’ grave.  Blasphemous and hilarious.  It’s also a great song.

8 – Hound Dog – It was done better by Big Mama Thornton, but it’s hard not to include this Leiber and Stoller classic on any Presley list.  Two minutes of sassy pop well spent.

9 – It’s mlb wholesale jersey Now or Never – This Spanish tinged gem was one of Elvis’ most popular songs overseas.  Taking a cue from Mario Lanza, the final notes are some of the most powerful Elvis ever belted out.

10 – Love Me Tender – A sweeter song has never been written.  This one knocked the ladies out and sent Elvis to an ever higher level.

BONUS - Return To Sender - Our readers voice their opinion and said this song needed to be on the list. I agree, this was a beautiful song and many can relate. Instead of return to sender though, its more a authentic jersey autospam box now.
